A Note From Maria
Hello my name is Maria Lee and if you are here, I am guessing you are searching for someone to help you with hair, makeup or a lash enhancement service. For as long as I can remember I have always loved the transformative power of hair, makeup and all things beauty. From wearing my first blush and lipstick at my first ballet recital to curling hair and creating up-dos for my friend’s formals, I have always loved the smile that beauty service can put on someone’s face, knowing they feel and look like the best version of themselves.
Today, I have over a decade of experience in freelancing makeup mainly in the wedding industry in Auckland & Sydney, and I have continued to evolve and fine-tune my makeup and hair styling skills through practise and education, working on a beauty aesthetic that can be described as modern, pretty and alluring.
In past years I have had the opportunity to work backstage with Napoleon Perdis, Bobbi Brown and Wedded Wonderland and currently continue to work on editorials with professional photographers creating beautiful visionary concepts and stories.
It was through my own experience of getting eyelash extensions for my wedding day that I felt I wanted to provide that kind of positive and transformational service to future clients, and I now offer this and a few other lash & brow styling services in-studio as an accredited lash artist.
I put my full personality and heart into what I do, creating beauty looks that reflects the Mia Loves Pretty aesthetic or teaching you everyday makeup or hairstyling skills that best utilises the products & tools in your kit, all with the goal to bring out the best version of YOU. From the first hello to final touch-ups on your wedding day, or your first look in the mirror at my studio, I am dedicated to help you feel and look pretty amazing.
