Minted Art + Mia Loves Pretty + A Giveaway! - CLOSED

Our walls at home are pretty outdated. In fact all we have on the first floor are 13 framed pictures on the big wall above our couch, with photos dating pre-2010 to 2012. A big 12 slot picture frame, with photos dating pre-2010 to 2012. And lastly a 3 slot picture frame from Thailand, with photos dating, you guessed it, pre-2010 to 2012. Upstairs, we have a small hallway mirror which I have taken off the wall to use as a makeup mirror in our office, some very outdated Florentine prints (so outdated I don't even notice them anymore) and then a watercolour print that we bought from paris which is now peeling off the wooden canvas that it has been DIY mounted on. Pretty sad.

While I know our current rental is not our forever home, I think it's about time we change out some of the photos we have hung up, and its also time for a bit of a wall spruce up.

We have a lot of off-white walls but also a dark navy wall features on one side of the whole apartment. I recently bought THIS hexagon copper mirror set from Ikea based on these inspirational photos that I love, and have been scouring the interwebs for some affordable art prints which could  also help brighten up the common walls around our apartment in a cheerful and pretty , yet clean and uncluttered kind of way.

Low and behold, it was like fate when Minted recently approached me and asked if I was interested in having a gander at the range of products they offer on their website. While I knew they had a beautiful range of wedding stationery and a wonderful range of general stationery, I did not know they had a collection of art.

Minted Art features the products of talented, humble and creative artists from around the world, including limited edition prints, photography art, typography art, children's art, nursery art and art in collaboration with well known interior superheroes like West Elm.

When a company fosters the mantra to showcase little known talent on a world platform, I quickly put my hands up and say "yes please!". Minted Art is a marketplace for independent and freelance artists and plenty of *heart in eyes emojis* happened as I scoured through their website. You can easily spend hours perusing. For the past few days I've been browsing their range of printed art and I thought I'd share my current wishlist, if you would like to see.

What I love is that the prints are one of a kind, so you won't be seeing many replicas of the same prints in everyone's home.
I am by no means an art connoisseur, I just like what I like, and also have the added task of catering to Jase's taste (which is rather neutral I would think...well I hope hehe). Currently it looks like I like prints that evoke travel memories, plenty of watercolour pastels, a nod to culinary adventures, a nod to my analytical brain, and then just general dreaminess and prettiness (surprise surprise).

Ordering on the website is so easy with the option of up to 7 sizes per print (with or without a custom frame), different print material options, the aid of real life photos showing you the size of each print, and also some community suggestions on how other customers have arranged their Minted Art at home.
Some art comes with a personalisable feature for which I have my eye on plenty of foiled photo art options like the example I played around with below. You can also order Custom Art. The possibilities are endless, and all at reasonable prices.

I can't wait to get ordering, and with my undying love for copper/rose gold foil print, I also have my eye on this stationery set as well to add a personal touch to my makeup business.

Now onto some exciting stuff.
One lucky ducky MLP reader will be able to get the chance to win $50 Minted credit! All you have to do is follow me on instagram, and then come back here and comment on this blog post, telling me your instagram name and what you have your eye on from the Minted website (I'd love to know!).

I will be drawing out a winner (at random) on Monday, May 25th, 12Noon GMT+10 time, and will announce it on instagram. Ensure your instagram is in "public" mode!
I'll give the winner one week to respond, to which if they don't respond I'll draw another winner!

Good luck!
